Hey all, my inkbird bit the dust on my last cook. Had to trash it. What are your suggestions for a new thermometer with probes? Thanks in advance. :banghead:

Take a look at the Thermo works smoke. Don’t have one but if I was in the market I’d look that way

I have a Fireboard and I can't recommend it enough. Good variety of probes, easy setup on your Wi-Fi or by Bluetooth.

The app is simple and intuitive, and they just added a feature to make notes and pictures during your cook. I've never had an issue with the app not connecting or not responding.

The only negative for me was the unit itself is not water resistant. I bought a water proof case and modified it to run the cables through the case. So I can put everything in the case, close the lid and let it sit out in the rain if needed.

If you have any questions pm me.

It would not come back on. Changed the batteries, etc.. Tried everything I could think of to get to work, but it would not. Crazy.

That is very strange. I have gone to their newer models with re-chargeable batteries. I do know even on my Mavericks one bad battery with a good one fails but I imagine you were changing to new.

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to post that after reviewing numerous remote them systems with wi-fi connectivity I purchased a FireBoard-2. This thread, and specifically this post, brought FireBoard to my attention to begin with. It was literally plug & play. It'll be a little while before mine gets its first trial by fire, we still have a good bit of leftovers from the pulled pork I cooked Monday, but I have a high degree of confidence in this equipment.

The FireBoard-2 is water / weather resistant unlike its predecessor. FireBoard doesn't even offer a weather case for it.
