Gas grill trouble shooting help!

Lowe’s Master Forge.

Won’t light.

Changed tanks.

New regulator and supply line.

Igniter works. I can hear it clicking and see the spark.

Won’t light with igniter or open flame.

Only thing between the regulator tube and igniter is a threaded pipe to attach the hose. Wide opening there. I checked it with toothpicks. I can’t see how to get to this part to investigate further.

Took burner tube out where igniter is. Again wide open hole. No blockage.

I’m stuck. I’m stumped.

Thanks in advance.

Is it still under warranty?

I doubt it. It’s two maybe three years old.

Lowe’s told me to call Master Forge, which it looks like they no longer carry.

So far no response from Master Forge.

Sometimes spiders like to get in the venturi tubes and build webs. Remove the burner and venturi tubes and blow the tubes out really good with compressed air. That might do it.

You didn't say if it is propane or natural gas.

If propane. Make sure the burners are turned off. Then turn off the tank valve. Then *SLOWLY* turn the tank back on. Try to light it then. If that fails turn the burners off again and the tank off again. Disconnect the tank and pull it out of the grill. Forcefully bang the tank down against a hard surface a couple of times. Hook it up again. SLOWLY turn the tank on again and try to light it.

If this don't work I'm outa ideas.

The reason for disconnecting and banging the tank on the ground is that the new safety valves sometimes shut off if they think they sense too much gas flow and won't reset without assistance.

If you have removed the supply line from the burner tubes and turned on the bottle and gas comes out then your tubes are clogged as mentioned.
