Christmas Menu

Postby bogiedr » Sun Dec 02, 2018 6:25 pm

I am thinking I will invite my in laws for Christmas dinner. Here is the menu I am planning;

Appetizer: Traditional Italian Anti Pasto plate, (prosciutto, salami, pepperoni, cheeses, etc.)

Starter: Split Pea Soup

Main Course: Slow cooked Prime Rib on the Kamado Joe, seasoned with herbs and spices, salt, pepper and garlic, using pecan wood.

Side dish: Garlic roasted potatoes

Dinner Beverage: A couple of bottles of top notch Cabernet's

Desert: Braso Gitano, (traditional Caribbean jam roll)

And Cuban coffee to finish the meal.

Is this good, bad, overkill? First time hosting Christmas in decades, want to do it right!
Thank you all in advance for your comments!!

That’s outstanding- waiting for invitation

Some crusty French bread, a baguette, or dinner rolls would be nice.

Sounds like you really like your in laws, or you haven't seen them in a long while. EH is spot on with the addition of a baguette.

Dang Capt, you must have hit the in law jackpot. But you could use a EH baguette on your menu as well. And a salt shaker to go with the mexican beer.
