Insurance folks have to send an adjuster out to see if Einstein can be repaired. Good luck with that one.

I saw some spray "rubber" in a can on TV - maybe the adjuster will bring some of that...it fixes all kinds of stuff. The guy even sealed a screen door in the bottom of his aluminum boat!

 :whiteflag:

JB Weld might do the trick  The top lid is the only thing not broken. If they want to buy the guts and the bottom, guess I'd have to talk the Mrs into it as it would be unique -Primo changed their colors a few years back- it would be a two-tone!

If you were closer I would bargain for the top portion to make a Pizza Oven!

I've heard it said that most accidents happen within a block or two of home. After traveling nearly 1,200 miles, two of the delivery folks dropped the Kamado as they were carring it up the stairs -30 feet from where it was going to be set up.

If someone ever plans on making a custom built in I could see where having that top and hinge could make a cool addition!

Well the claims folks saw the form and the pictures I sent them and sent me an email stating I should expect a check in two to three weeks. No mention of adjusters, then again didn't mention how big the check will be either only to contact them will questions or comments... . Until its resolved, the remnants of old Einstien are not moving an inch.

Toby, I thought about calling CSI-Galveston to report a killing but the Mrs didn't think it was a good idea. :argue: I lost that back and forth.
