Threw me a Omelette/Frittata together this morning using some Egg Beaters Egg Whites only that I needed to use up. Normally I use a fresh whole egg and I really missed the flavor that the yellow adds to that breakfast goodie.

we are blessed, have 8 hens. Good'ol brown eggs

For 20 + years, our neighbors had all types of flying and non flying birds that would wake us up EVERY morning !!

My nana had chooks when I was growing up, I used to collect eggs with her, we are just back from a farm stay holiday, our granddaughter was in charge of feeding our scraps and collecting eggs. She was scared the first time but she was busting her guts to get out there afterwards. She went twice a day. She wants her dad to get chooks now,lol. Not suitable for their subdivision either.
They had 6 chooks, she was getting about 4 to 5 a day. It was brilliant.

TRUE STORY - - - I was there:
After a late night Gig one night, all of us Pickers stopped at a Truck Stop Cafe for some Vittles. It was about 3 or 4 in the morning and also in the group at the table was the drummers girlfriend. When the waitress came to take our order the Drummer was looking at the Menu and asked "Do Y'all serve this Calf's Tongue this early in the morning? His GF blurted out "Ewwwww, I would never eat anything that came from a Calves Mouth !" - - - the waitress then turned to her and asked "then what would you like, Mam?" - - - she replied "I'll take two eggs with bacon and biscuits"

OK this was a Table full of late night Honky Tonk Pickers and I thought the Manager was fixin to throw us out from the LOUD HYSTERICAL LAUGHING that we could not stop.

Is it me, or does all of the good funny stuff happen in the early morning hours at a remote hole in the wall with coffee and eggs while the other 75 % of the country is still counting zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's....?

Year's ago a guy brought some tongue's to work, when I saw those thing's cooking I thought to myself just how nasty they look but I got to tell ya that when you peeled the skin off and sliced it up it made one dang good sandwich.

I know a guy that will have nothing to do with egg's, not sure if he had a bad experience with a chicken when he was young or what but he just want eat an egg. He even said that if anybody cook's an egg in his skillet, he's going to throw the skillet away, I just don't understand.
