2010 San Antonio Rodeo Cookoff

Postby Smokin Burros BBQ » Thu Nov 26, 2009 10:38 pm

We will be signing up for the rodeo cookoff this year. First time competing at this event, been plenty as a spectator. Figured it's time to step up and give it a shot. Anybody else planning on it? Jan 29 & 30. We are planning on having a pretty big party, so far seems like we're going to have a humdinger!

I may do both, it really depends on my schedule. I also plan on doing Kaufman and Terrell since they are just down the road...Terrell is almost home turf since I work there.

February can't get here quick enough!!!

Well, right now, I'm only planning on one comp per month right now and a lot of that will be determined by the job situation at that time... If I remain 'underemployed', I'll have to cut back on the comps, but the two Irving ones are pretty sure things, especially since they are both within 5 miles of my house.

Yep, things may change depending on my situation as well. If I do well then I will probably do more comps, but being my first year....well....I'll probably be limited to comps close to the house.

Good luck to you and your team. Hope that you have a great year...at least you got the first few out of the way and got your feet wet. If your BBQ tastes half as good as it looks in your posts then you should do well.
