Hey guys... This is the BBQ Cookoff that Sandman (Rob), copkid (Laura) and I signed up for last year. Unfortunatly circumstances beyond our control led us to not be able to participate.

If your a comp cooker or have even just thought about it, please sign up for this one.

I attended the first one two years ago as a spectator and it's a great time!

Like Darrel said, the cookoff benefits Camp Craig Allen. When I was there, I witnessed many folks in wheelchairs, every last one of them had a smile on their face. Talking to the people with disabilities, you see that they have a great outlook on life and value every minute that they are with us.

Anyway, if y'all are gonna participate in just one cookoff, make this the one! I guarantee that you wont regret this one...

Hey Chucky... If you noticed, how much as beer there? Did ya have to buy singles or would they sell you a 12 pack? Doubt I'd enjoy cooking as much as I do if I can't drink a few brewskies during the process ya know.

Not sure of the cost. They have a big party Friday night and if I remember right, it's dinner and drinks for free with a band.

I will be there... It will be our 3rd year to cook... We have had a great time at each one of these ..

And James my friend.. You just need to come by the right cook off teams for a brew and a taste (wrist band needed) come by and see me.. I will hook up a fellow Q'r... I met Chuck at the first one, and was looking forward to meeting Rob and Laura last year... I know there is room for 20 more teams.. So if you guys can pull it off. Please print off the forms and send them in.. Its worth the time and money..

Sounds good. We're gonna have to hunt down a Venison Backstrap for the Wild Game category.

I think I can supply that. I may be interested in mixing it up with the some of you to do a little cooking. I think we can get Lazy and nbrdnk also to help out.

This will be my second year to cook there, missed last year only because the CCA cookoff and the O'Reily Fall Nationals were the same weekend.

I'll be cooking on the Texas Fishing Forum team with Tritonman & his equipment.

Dawn and her husband asked me yesterday to bring my pit to assist in cooking the donated meats for sale to the general public which we will do as well.

Bluz...No joke you should enter your Deer Loin in the comp! I see a wild game trophy in your futer at least!
