Any ideas on how your going to baffle the firebox and cook chamber?

sorry about the pic... im just geting started with the site....
the black oblong in the 1'st pic will be a sliding vint from the fire box to the cooking chamber...

The drawing kind of looks like a Spicewine Ironworks pit to me. Do you plan on burning sticks or charcoal?

All wood ......mostly pecan and oak...
