Nick from Mesquite

Postby nickbahh » Mon Oct 28, 2013 10:55 am

Right now I use a modified ECB, but I'm looking to upgrade in the near future as it appears I am turning into the guy who smokes meat in my circle. I've been smoking for about two years and cooking for as long as I can remember. My research on UDS led me here and after browsing the board for a while you guys seem nice enough for me to stick around.

A lot of these people really believe in the drum smokers. Apparently it is a great choice.

I'm pretty open to suggestions, I do a lot of tailgating and it seems like the UDS is a pretty solid fit for that. Seems they hold their temp really well and are fairly easy to transport compared to larger offset smokers. That said I have only ever used my ECB so I have little to go from. I'm all for experimenting, my latest venture has been into Sous Vide, which I gotta say is pretty much the only way I cook steak now.
