Hey ya'll from a Texan in South America

Postby Displaced Texican » Tue Nov 27, 2012 3:04 pm

I am a new member and glad I found this site. I am a smoker (meat smoker) for 15 years now. I live in Colombia for 2 years now, and missing good ole Texas BBQ. Real BBQ. I left all my smoking tools in Texas and now find that meat smoking is not known here. Grilling Argentina style is more prevalent, and it's pretty good, but I am having trouble finding a vertical water smoker down here. I live in Bogota, the capitol of Colombia with 11 million citizens and not a smoker to be found. Anyhow, I bid you all howdy and hope to meet and chat with fellow Texans... take care

Welcome!! Good luck finding, or building, a smoker. You might be able to rig up a nice UDS.

Welcome "home." :) You are going to need to remedy that smoker situation and teach those Columbians a thing or two! Time to build, find a builder or import!

tex :texas:
20" x 40" Party Gator Pit
Custom Mobile Stick Burner
Summerset TRL 32" Built-In Grill
Weber Q2200
48" Custom Firepit
Bertello Pizza Oven

I can't always please everybody. I'm not bacon.
