9/16 Carrollton Cook Off

Postby Cosmic Dave » Mon Aug 08, 2011 2:27 pm

In only 5 weeks we will have the first Steve Mayberry Memorial cook off in McInnish Park in Carrollton.
Proceeds from the cook off will go to Colorectal Cancer research. We will have a steak cook off Friday night, administered by this year's winner of the World Championship Steak Cook Off in Magnolia AR, Brett Gallaway. We are raffling off a 22" WSM, a fish fryer, and a Cowboy Cooker (courtesy of Billy Overton and Ritters). We will also have a silent auction, a cook's breakfast and will be selling BBQ sandwiches to the public. Details on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/SteveMayberryMemorialCookoff" target="_blank and the entry form is posted on the IBCA website.

We trying to get a team count to see if we have enough space. Who is planning to make it?

thanks,
Dave

See some basic details on the Facebook, can you post more detail here? Like entry fees, basic rules, parking, etc. Thanks! Close to home and will talk to my cookbuddies about this.

Just a reminder that this is coming up next weekend. Gates open at 10 AM and we are hoping for a crowd. Auctioning off a big WSM, Fish Fryer and Cowboy Cooker from R&O.
Handing out meat for the steak cook off starting at 5PM for a 8PM turnin. For $25 you get 2 ribeyes - one to turn in and one to eat - and a chance to win half the pot.
Our flyer is on the IBCA website

Hope to see you there.
