What's the BEST BBQ joint you guys have been to in the SE Houston area - from Kemah/Seabrook to Pearland?
I'm going to send some locally made sauces / rubs up to a friend in California and I want to find a great place to get them from.

Best BBQ joint south of Houston (Kemah, Pearland, etc.)
2010 - the year I learned to BBQ (after 20 years of grilling)
Equipment: Homebuilt UDS (upright drum smoker) - love it. Holding temps in the 225-240* range for 15 hours on 1 basket of coal/wood chunks.

Yes Sucklebuster is it. You can pick it up at Chim Chimney on 518. I had them start caring it a couple of months ago and sounds like people in the area like it. They have some other BBQ stuff there to.

As far as good BBQ joint in the area I would say Joes in Alvin.

GREAT - I'll head over to Chim Chimney today at lunch to pick some up.
Thatks for the suggestion. Now that I know I can get it local...I'll (of course) have to pick up some for myself too!!
I do like Joe's - we go there often. I've never bought any of their sauces/rubs to use at home though. Heck I didn't even notice they sold any product.

SWEET - I'm glad I asked about local places. I had no idea Chim Chimney's had so much cool stuff in there.
I picked up several Sucklebuster products and a bag of Chim's own rub.
Thanks for the recommendation!!

Yes they are real nice in there. I go about once a month to browse. I am glad someone else from the forum can use the local hook-up for SB.

Red River BBQ near 518 and 270 in League City won't disappoint. Their sauce is great.
Would also recommend Gabby's in Pasadena or Central Texas Style BBQ in Pearland. Been to all many times, never a bad meal. Agree with posts pointing to Joes in Alvin.
