So I am looking to upgrade my Smoker within the Next couple Months and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experience with these two smokers. I am going to get one of them Just not sure which one I want to go with.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon

You should look into some others. I know most builders these days can do anything you want. Jambo started out big because he insulated the boxes...anyone will do that for you now. Plus the guy that painted the Jambos is no longer doing it....

I've heard only good things about Jambo pits.

Between the two for a backyard cooker...I would definatley go with a Stumps.....or even better call Joby at Superior Smokers and see if he makes a small SS-1 model yet, Jobe was the man behind stumps, design and all, and he's a great guy...

Thanks For all input yall, I am starting to lean more towards the Stumps as its more affordable at 1200 rather than 1800. I just wish someone on here already had one and could tell me if they are happy with the way they cook.

Re: Jambo or Stumps Backyard Smoker????
I haven't seen a backwoods up close and personal but I saw some of Jamie's backyard models a few weeks ago when I was at his shop. If I was in the market I'd be proud to have one in my backyard. Insulated firebox and lots of room. High quality craftsmanship. Backwoods may be great but the Jambo I know is first class.
