gator pits

Postby kenner18v » Tue Apr 06, 2010 3:43 pm

Ok I've decided on a gator pit!! Now do I get the backyard classics 20x32 with sliding trays and more bells and whistles for 1250.00 or the 20x40 budget pit with no sliding trays and less prep space for 1049.00. I'm leaning to the more cooking space and also being cheaper.

So what do ya'll think?

I'd go with the 20" X 40". More cooking area. Maybe for the difference in the price they would put in the slide-out shelves. You can always add more prep area later or set up a table close to the pit for the extra room you may need.

I gotta agree with OSD, go for the 20 x 40

I would rather have the cooking space, I can always set up a table close by

I def would go with space. Sliding racks are an easy add on later.

I couldn't find the 20 x 40, but that's probably what I'd go with.

I'd also go for the bigger space, you'll be happy with the gator. Nice pits.
How bout some more beans Mr.Taggert? I'd say you've had enough!

A 40" long pit is the minimum I'd get. In all seriousness, consider saving up a bit longer for a 24" pit. You won't be sorry.

I agree with Zilla, you may not think at this point and time you will ever need the extra space, but I promise you this, it will not be long , you'll be starving for space. Just a few neighbors, a cookout for the Sunday school class or kids functions, its gonna fill up quick.

as written, go ahead with a 24 inch.

Provides more space and it´s easier to maintain the temp in the pit. And an easier temp control.

I´ve got the 20 x 48 Klose. Nowadays I would take a 24 x 48 inch.
