Chili Cookoff

Postby tex_toby » Sun Jan 31, 2010 4:53 pm

Yesterday, my wife Krista and I cooked in a backyard style chili cookoff. We committed a cookoff sin by cooking an untested new recipe, but we thought the chili ended up good anyway. We were both tired of our usual recipe and thought we would try something new this year. We had plans of trying it out beforehand, but time caught up with us before we could do it. We did really good a few years back with our old recipe (multiple awards), but hadn't had a call in over a year since then. We finished 9th overall out of 25 teams. I thought our chili was really good. After the judging, we had live music throughout the rest of the night provided by Texas country musicians Tommy Alverson, Brian Burns & Davin James. I got a few videos of them playing together on my iphone, but I guess I had it turned the wrong way and all my vids were upside down when I uploaded them to my pc. :? If I can figure out how to rotate them, I will add links later.
