Re: Who's up for a ThrowDown
just to notify my.
I will be the superbowl weekend in the hospital with our daughter, she will become a small operation... and I´ll be with her.
Is it allowed to do the cook a few days before, and post it at the superbowl weekend ?
Or is it a must, to cook at this days ?

Simon,
The short answer is yes. We know some folks cook well before high holy day of Profession Football and reheat the day of the big event. As long as there as "XLIV" is written on the back of a business card and is placed somewhere in the picture I'll accept it. The idea is to prevent folks, not that they would, from using a photo from last years family reunion or other such thing.

Nick, I'll try to answer your question.
Basically just cook whatever meat you want from the list (which covers pretty much anything). It has to be either smoked or grilled.
Take a picture of the plated product, with or without sides on the plate. Make sure there is a card with XLIV written on it in the pic. If not the pic will be disqualified.
Send the pic to ThrowDown@ncre.biz" target="_blank
The pic has to be email between the end of the game and 11:59PM CST on February 8th 2010.
From there we all vote on who has the best looking plate of meat.
It is a secret ballot type contest. No marking of the plate. No one knows who cooked what until the contest is over. Then most folks step up and tell what they cooked.
I would suggest looking in the throwdown section of the forum and go through some pics of past throwdowns to get an idea.
