Super Bowl XLIV ThrowDown

Postby DATsBBQ » Tue Jan 12, 2010 7:14 pm

The Forum's first ThrowDown was like a wild west show. We're returning to that theme for this ThrowDown since, well its the SuperBowl. Grilled grub is OK for this contest. Your entry can be one or more of:
Big Hunks of Meat,
Reebs,
Things with Wings,
Ground meat/sausage and
Sea Food.

This means:
1 entry per member,
Entry photo must have meat that has been smoked or grilled in the picture.
Entry Photo can be meat only, plated with sides (a bun is a side) or simply a turn in box with or without garnish. A shroom is not a meat. :tounge: but could be a side.

To enter the ThrowDown or vote in the poll you must be a member of Texas BBQ Forum. Membership fees have been waived through the end of the ThrowDown

The winner is the winner, no run-off poll (unless there is a tie, then there will be a runoff between to settle the tie. The Winner gets a custom Avatar and MVP bragging rights till the next ThrowDown

To enter, send you pic to [ThrowDown@ncre.biz]
Your Pic should be at least 640X480 resolution for best results.

To prove that you cooked for the Throw Down, write "XLIV" on the back of a business card and have that card in the photo. No card in the photo = disqualified.

Entries accepted from the end of the game to 11:59PM CST on February 8th 2010. The Poll will go up on February 9th and will run for 24 hours.

Folks wanting to donate prizes for the ThrowDown should P.M. me. High Value Prizes are discouraged as it leads to voter fraud that is easy to detect (The Deputies can tell when something is "fishy") but is very difficult to prove.

Gentlemen/women, Start your smokers/grills as the Super Bowl XLIV ThrowDown is under way!

May the best Qer Win!

We need a clarification please.

Can you cook and turn in an entry from one or more of the categories with one entry/photo PER category or are you only allowed to choose one category to enter?

Chuck,
Only one photo per member period. You can pile the plate with a plethora of grilled/smoked protein or have a single rib in the picture.

Got it... one or more meats from the list as long as it's all on one plate. :goof:
