Deep fried baby back ribs with spicy BBQ sauce.

Postby powerplantop » Fri Oct 09, 2009 7:34 pm

For Sauce Add 1/2 18oz bottle BBQ sauce, two tablespoons chipotle adobo and 1/4 cup apple juice. Heat on low to reduce.

Remove membrane from ribs.
Cut into individual ribs.
Season with "Tonys" (Tony Chachere's creole seasoning)
Coat with Wondra flour.
Fry for 12 minutes @ 350F.
Coat with sauce.

After frying (they are good just like this).

Deep fried ribs are some good stuff. I only had them once but they where smoked for 1.5 hrs then chilled before frying.
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.

I've heard of cooking chicken wings in a similar manner, only skipping the chilling step.

Never tried it, but I've heard of folks, smoking spares then battering and frying... Those look like something I'd like to try!

I only have one question .. I noticed you did not wrap them in Bacon - Is there a reason that the bacon was left off?

I've had them. Kinda like chewing on a fried pork chop bone. They are nice every once in a while.
