Chili - final pics

Postby OSD » Fri Oct 31, 2008 10:04 am

Well, I finially got my SuckleBusters chili seasoning ( after my ordering goof-up ), so I put on a big batch this morning. :D

Image
Browning some ground beef and sausage

Image
chopped onion, chopped red, green, & yellow bell peppers, and some Jalapenos.

Image
sweating the onions and peppers

Image
all mixed with some pinto & red beans, crushed tomatoes, SuckleBusters chili seasoning, and tomato puree.

Image
Put it all into the old crock pot to slow cook for a few hours.

Lookin' forward to later so I can start eatin' on this. :D It's already starting to smell really good in the house. :D

Image
ready to eat. alittle shredded cheese and some crackers. :D If you haven't tried the SuckleBuster's Chili Seasoning, well you are missing out on some good stuff. :D Great tasting chili. 8)

SC, I went by Gator's recipe on the label. It was 2 pounds of ground beef and 2 pounds of sausage. This made a double batch. :D

SC, a double batch makes a lot of chili. I did it so we could freeze a couple vac-pacs for easy use later when I didn't have the time to cook a batch. :D This makes it easy to for us to re-heat and have a good meal anytime we want because chili freezes and re-heats very well. :D
