This kid can run all 4 of these at once like it's nothing lol.
Scooby Doo ( The Mystery Machine ) was this years addition, he loves that all three of us can " race " ......
I'm the camera man here, watching with a big smile
Boy, Lionel came a long way, just wish the quality was like the old days

I reckon they've come a long ways, especially since my first one had a wind-up key on the bottom of the Engine

Yeah, the Black one " The Polar Express is still his favorite as it was his first one and its built like a LEAD SLED!bsooner75 wrote:Those trains are moving. Cool!

It use to be the fastest but I think over the years the Traction Tires soaked up some Track Oil from the Smoke Generator and they tend to spin more than they grab. Gonna order some new Bridgestones for it and run some Rubbing Alcohol across the rails and that will fix it.
We enjoy watching him smile more and more with every addition. Soon, the Christmas tree will need to go down stairs so we can fit the tracks around it.
If we end up staying in this house for a while longer, it will be no problem getting his 18th track around the tree, but if we move they will have to be in different rooms as long as he stays interested in them growing older.

Wow Emm, the older ones like you described would be awesome to still see run !OldUsedParts wrote:I reckon they've come a long ways, especially since my first one had a wind-up key on the bottom of the Engine

Yeah, these are ridiculous in what can be done with them. Lionchief is thier Wireless Remote Line, the latest ones like his Scooby Doo and Budweiser Clydesdales Train are also Bluetooth so he can go from watching his Lightning McQueen to controlling his trains right from his tablet.
Pretty soon, the way technology is going, he will be able to control them with his Thoughts..
Scary and kool at the same time, but I still wish I had and older set with an Actual Transformer and Metal Cars unlike today with Metal Engines only and Plastic Cars..
The guy I know at a Lionel dealer told me that he's been a Lionel dealer for 40 years and that it will NEVER come back to the original quality. Not because it's not possible, but because it's " Business "
Too many people getting paid off to keep making inferior parts on purpose. I wasn't surprised to hear it, just saddened because at one point, Lionel was King.

Cool. Those trains are fast!
With your crafting skills you could build tracks, stations and models on a big plate. You can hang it in the roof and lower it down when you want to play.
We have a marklin trainset in the closet. It looks like the tracks are the same.
Spending time with your kid playing with this is quality time.

Very cool Woodie. So great to see a kid more interested in trains than video games.
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE

Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
