Rather than a single heavy duty spring/axle set, i went with 2 ea, 2000 lb spring and axle sets.
At 3000lbs, the smoker is 75% of the rated capacity of the springs. It makes for a prett soft ride. As opposed to putting 3000lbs on a 7000lb spring, which would make for really stiff suspension.
