Birthday Surf & Turf
So its been a crazy busy 3 days.
Left Saturday about noon to head to Delaware to see the Wife's twin sister and husband to celebrate thier Birthday together. Had some drinks and Babybacks ready for us when we got there so that was a nice surprise.
Sunday we all took the little guy to the beach and then to the Air Command Museum at the Dover Air Force Base which was really cool. Got aboard the C5 Cargo which was unbelievable, the little guy was happy as can be .
Got back had some Grilled Brats and excellent Loaded Taters ( which I will be doing for sure ) !
On the road at 9 this morning to beat the Holiday traffic and back in our house 3 hours later.
Did a few chores and then went grub shopping so I could make the Wifey a special Birthday Dinner.
Found a couple of 12$ a lb Primes and grabbed some Fresh Sweet Corn and a lb of Jumbo Lump Crab and made some Crab Cakes.
Sauteed the usual Shrooms and Onions and made some Home Made Tartar Sauce and in a few hours we were 10 lbs heavier .
It was a success, although Mr Picky opted out and asked for his Sketti and Butter AKA " Mac-Re-oneez.....lolololol...
So, he hammered down his Mac-Re-oneez and we tore up the Steak and Cakes.
Best part was watching Evan give his Mom her Birthday Cake and Card...
I'll say it again...were the luckiest 2 on earth..
Emm......
If you are reading this, I want to say THANK YOU, you are very very kind Sir and I'm honored to have met you my friend !!

Appreciate it bsooner, outdid my energy lol. I think my pace over the years is catching up with me, trying to learn how to slow down a bit but its not easy.bsooner75 wrote:Wow! You really outdid yourself. Happy Birthday to the wife

Thank you for the kind Birthday wishes and I most certainly will relay that to her.
Wanna hear something funny ??
I was about 2 nano seconds from throwing the Crab Cakes on the Black Stone because my curiosity was getting the best of me but then I remembered that I just paid 30$ for. 1 lb of the Jumbo Lump Crab and 32 $ for 2 Steaks lol and I just " Played It Safe "....
But...., I'm STILL curious.
I wonder how it would end up cooking, any thoughts ???

I don’t see why the Blackstone wouldn’t work? Although I agree, the price, special occasion, good call playing it safe
