Re: Garden Time
Beautiful Texas Color when my Grandaughter was small she and I planted some giant Sunflowers and I'll never forget the excitement on her face when they finally bloomed.

We plant those and Zinnias every year; they're pretty and it brings the Bees to pollinate

We did a lot of Flowers and Garden when we lived in Nix out of Lampasas. One day we were driving around my friends Ranch and Sherry spotted this Rock with Barrel Cactus growing on top. Getting that thing in my Truck and to the house was not an easy task.
Due to the ground condition, most everthing was in containers/etc.

Re: Garden Time
My wife grows sunflowers as well. They are amazing and give our grandkids a lot of joy. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Re: Garden Time
So I have to find a pic of my wife's sunflower grown from seed. This was 6 and a half foot tall. A monarch on it is a bonus. We have swan plants here that the Monarchs grow from caterpillar to butterfly.

Re: Garden Time
My tomatoes are sorry this year; I think it was the quick jump into the 90’s in May that did it

Re: Garden Time
No Russ, I choose to do Salsa with them. We don't eat a lot of Pasta but we do eat a lot of Salsa,
I can imagine it's very flavorful with Fresh Tomatoes

Re: Garden Time
Marigolds do cause issue for certain inserts. I think it is a smell. Slugs hate them for sure.
