Favorite BBQ Accessories

Postby Ox190 » Fri Mar 02, 2018 11:22 am

What are your favorite tools/accessories to your pit? I've finally gotten my first big boy smoker and I'm going to be doing a lot more smoking. I've got thermometers and thermopens, curious about other stuff I may need or want. Getting married soon so I can add a bunch of that stuff to my wedding registry too.

Beer, Chair and Radio tuned to 105.3 "Texas Mix FM".
I never use the same tongs twice in a row.
The Maverick and Therm Pen are best friends on certain cuts.
I also have an electric charcoal starter that W.V. turned me onto that is purdy handy.

Cotton gloves with 9mil Nytril gloves to go over them. Great for taking off a brisket or ribs form the grill. Welding gloves for the fire area.

Welding gloves - I get mine at Northern Tool.

Mule rider is spot on with the cotton glove / nytril for handling hot meats.
