Grill/Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

Postby woodenvisions » Mon Jan 22, 2018 11:38 pm

Decided to give it a go with a CCB Casserole on the Akorn in the Cast.
Lots of Black Bear Ham and Swiss cubed up over chunks of a Pulled apart Rotisserie.
Milk, Flour, Smoked Paprika ,Lemon Juice, Pepper, Salt, Butter, Mustard, Shredded Parmesan and a mix of Panko and Italian Flavored Breadcrumbs.
Hope you all like the pics, it was packed with flavor and very rich :):)

I'm not much of a casserole person but THIS looks worth a shot! I am a huge fan of chicken cordon bleu.

Thanks guys, I think next go round I'll use a more shallow baking dish. This was good, but just wayyyyyy too much. It tastes Exactly like CCB, but with a more pronounced hit of Bread crumbs.
Next time I'll go easier on them as well.

You mind sharing that recipe? I could really go for some CCB right about now.

My wife is on the way to the store for ingredients to make this today since my prime roasts I "WAS" going to smoke today are still frozen. This looks amazing.

Thx guys, sorry I'm late getting back to you.

Here is the direct link to the recipe.
I snatched it from cyberspace so I can't take credit for it.

The terms 'rich' and 'packed with flavor' are redundant if it's a WV creation! :salut:

I gotta try this! Wooooot.

Ur too kind Sailor...

Only I can't take credit for this one either. I just trusted the reviews and gave it a shot. If I were to do it again, which I definitely will, I'd without a doubt use a more shallow dish.
I think the bread crumbs we're too thick on top in my deep cast because it wasn't wide enough.

Other than that, I followed the recipe to the letter...

Well, we made it last night, or I should say the wife made it so no pictures. I assure you ours did not look anything like his. It is certainly worth making, but it needs tweaking. The taste is there. Thanks for the recipe.
