Ho Ho Free Lah-zag-knee
Well, when I say I'm gonna get away from Holiday Food for a while I don't fool around. Made a Pseudo-Lasagna with cheap burger, garlic and herb mater sauce (yuck), chopped penner and own-yawn, oven ready noodles, cottage chez, pepper jack chez, eggs and S&P. Fixed some bread to go with it that I won't dare call Garlic Bread but rather Garlic Toast. Wiffy had a large chunk and so did I but I'm throwing the leftovers away - I have made this recipe many times with great success BUT this was a because of the tom sauce - oh well live and learn.

Re: Ho Ho Free Lah-zag-knee
don't know what particular "herb" was in that mater sauce but it did NOT agree with either of us so next time I'll go back to either spicy pepper or four cheese - - - I've never been very good with spices other than salt, pepper, garlic, mexican, cajun but others leave me without a clue
I was gonna read the ingredients but the jar is already in the trash out front with the leftovers

That's a shame. It looks real good. I'm a big fan of lasagna.

It looks really good Emm.
BUT...to be entirely honest... I aint no big fan of Lazagna.
If I was offered the choice for dinner between Lasagna and "popcorn".....I'd probably take popcorn....as long as the popcorn had lots of melted butter and salt

I hope you don't give up on a good lasagna Emm..
I'm thinking that I'm CERTAIN that I could change ur outlook if you had some of the Poco pards version.
After all, I may have made a pasta dish or two in my travels :):)
Let me know if you are looking to try a recipe from the Northeast ?
P.s, remember the Golden rule with Poss tuh..
Salt da water...

For what it's worth, it looks Great! Normally, the herbs combined with Italian-type tomato sauces are pretty standard; basil, oregano, parsley, rosemary, thyme.. If some major heartburn hit, my first 2 culprits here would be the garlic and tomato. Processed tomato sauce has become a nemesis of mine also as of late. I can't eat any canned tomato sauce without reaching for the Tums after dinner.

T-Drag, it made the Wiffy puny but I had no after effects from it other than being P'd - - - next time I'm going back to just Rotel with Green Chilies and leave the mater sauces on the shelves at the store
