Yes Sir any port will do. Couple years ago we lost power for 2 days. Did all the cooking in the fire place.

The best chow I ever cooked was a bacon wrapped pork tender loin cooked over a hole in the ground with a 14 inch weber grate and lid. Honestly the best i have ever cooked. Mcgiver would be proud.

My old bbq grate on a couple 4x4s and the fire is charcoal on a flipped grill pan from Wal-Mart. Put the coal on the backside and paper underneath, like a makeshift charcoal chimney. Worked out nicely. Lol!
