First Reverse Sear
Yeah...we bought this store brand pork tenderloin pre-seasoned with three peppers, so the package said. PB decided on a reverse sear...indirect for 1/2 hour at 340° until internal hit 140° and then direct until 150° and it looked seared.
Gotta say, it looks good, and tasted better. I like it more than the name brand pre-marinated turkey we did earlier; the tenderloin's flavor seemed more 'natural.'
Plated with garlic pepper broccoli and the mystery side dish. Ten points to anyone who guesses it. It was good! But it is NOT grits. And it is NOT couscous.

Vinny Gambini came from New Yawk and he knew ALOT about good Grits.
It all started when he was a Yute, but no worries, they weren't Magic Grits...

Tanks!
It is not cauliflower. And grits are allowed in NY (they're on my shopping list).

Re: First Reverse Sear
Looks good. My first guess would have been cauliflower as well, but my back up is something in the turnip or parsnip family.

Funny enough...just watched that a few days back. Magic grits.
No one has come up with the correct side dish, but we'll save you a plate.

Re: First Reverse Sear
It is not (technically!) a vejable at all.
I needed a starch side that could be ready start to finish in five minutes or less that wasn't couscous.
We used to make a big batch for breakfast, 'cause it nukes easily. Like grits, it needs plenty of seasoning. And you can add in just about anything you want, like both grits and couscous.
It is cream of rice cereal.
