Colour is lip smacking bang on. I've never cooked in a coil before. Hmmm. Ponders going to an Italian shop in town.

Kind of off topic, but you mentioned Muenster. Do you know if that great little BBQ place in Lindsay is still there on the north side of the highway before you get to Moss lake? Used to have great Q 30 yrs ago.

Re: A little Touch of Oktoberfest
Thanks OUP - it's kinda special :)
Outlaw - I do not. We were in Gainsville at the zoo a month or so back and made a quick trip over for a bratwurst and a trip to the market. Hoping we can go back for Oktoberfest at the end of October.

You will pass by it on 82 on the way to Muenster. Its just a little sock hop type drive in but the food is well worth stopping for.

Re: A little Touch of Oktoberfest
I guess I just shouldn't assum everyone here lives in a 20 mile radius of me…sorry.
Muenster is a town just North West of Dallas that is steeped in German heritage. It's about as close as you can get without taking a trip to the TX Hill Country.

That's where we buy our Steaks, roast, sausage, cheese and hamburger. Love that store. I live in Sanger. Their hamburger meat is the best I have eaten.

There is 2, Smokehouse and Dieter Brothers and they are still there. I prefer Dieters. Smoke house is the drive in looking one. You can go in and eat too though. The Onion rings and a chopped Sammich is awesome for lunch at Dieters.

Small world. I grew up in Sanger, my family was one of the first to settle there. When my Dad came home from the Korean war he was the rural mail carrier for 20 something years, one aunt ran the city hall, and another taught school there. I still own a bit of land right across the highway from the WalMart distribution center.
