Don't Laugh...
...but we bought one of those infomercial air fryers (only we got it at a big-box store). We're skeptics about these things. The same day, we happened to find some chicken drums on sale. They got Duke's mayo and SB TX Pecan treatment. Half the drums went into the fryer, half in the oven. You know, for science.
The air fryer drums were done before the oven drums even got started. The smell was intoxicating, the taste, even better, with crispy, bite-through skin. We dove in like starving wolverines.
We also bought some disreputable frozen foods to try later. This contraption is huge and sounds like a jet engine just prior to takeoff. But even if all it can do is chicken drums, it may be a keeper.

Thanks, WV. It really surprised with how good the drumsticks were. Also, It's not too difficult to clean (at least after the first use).

Lol, I come home from work at lunchtime to watch the news, there's always an ad for the air cooker, it's a long ad and so convincing, lol. I go to mute now I've been that tempted, lol. I have enough toys.

We had one, did a good job cooking, pain in the butt to clean tho. Took up too much room so it went in the garage sale. Never missed it.

That'll be our next 'live meat' attempt. We only got the drums 'cause they were on sale.
(And now for the second act: commercially packaged frozen coconut shrimp!
My immediate reaction: "This is nowhere near as horrendous as I feared."
Not realizing there was a marmalade dipping sauce already packed in with the shrimp, I made one with a little MW, Sweet Hawaiian Q-sauce, and some Frank's.... (aka 'The Hot Sauce You Can Drink From A Shot Glass')....both were fine.)
Took less than ten minutes. Did not heat up the kitchen. I could get used to this.

I "think" she is talking about a Nu Wave, or one of its clones.

Nope, it's a...ohh, what IS the name...Power Pro Air Fryer? It looks like a robot. The NW is the one with the glass dome, right?
OUP, this was for you: bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts, Clucker Dusted. It did pretty well BUT these were big, and uneven in size, so we had to put them back a time or two before they stopped being pink.
We inhaled 'em.

It's a Power Air Fryer XL, the same one in the infomercial with the guy whose name sounds something like "Thief."
As the photo shows, It has a reasonably large basket (large enough for a small chicken):

Re: Don't Laugh...
NuWave with the dome isn't a fryer at all, it's an Infrared, Conduction, convection type of oven.
They have an air fryer as well but that one doesn't have a dome and it's all black.
