Emm & Russ,
I couldn't take it anymore, I had to give it a shot tonight..

Sailor,
Yeah, it's ALOT of food but I like to cook in bulk and vacuum pack it for easy quick night dinners.

bsooner75,
I was thinking the same thing the first time I saw the video. I actually skipped a few things like the hot peppers and Hot sauce..., I used Bell & Aneheim. Plus I used Andouile,Sweet Italian and Smoked Sausage.
Hopefully it cooks the correct way in the oven ?
I can't get the lid shut on the Akorn with the long handles on the Dutch Oven and unfortunately with that thing, I'll be running 700 degrees + if it's not shut...

Thx Russ !!

It didn't go without a hitch tho !!

I got it all together, put the fry pan/lid on the top, went to move it off of the island to the stove for the last pic and while carrying it, the strap from the camera in my right hand got caught around the two handles and in a split moment, I needed to decide what I needed to ( SAVE )...The cast full of food OR Debs Nikon DSLR....

Well, I'm NOT a fool lol..
I made sure I didn't drop the camera, but in the meantime the ( top ) fry pan/lid flew off, slammed into the bottom of the stove and hit the floor.

To my amazement, the little guy didn't wake up even tho he was not 15 feet away on the couch sleeping.
Deb was in the shower and Never heard a thing, lol.

The only thing that fell out of the ( bottom ) pot was the Minced Garlic.
It was ALL OVER THE FLOOR...

It coulda been worse, if I lost the contents of the bottom pot, you woulda heard some new words from me all of the way in New Zealand, lol.

I just checked it 1 hour in, flipped the Pork and it smells/looks AMAZING..

Wish I was eating that later. Just making one of my wife's fave ATM. Chicken left over from beer butt and pumpkin risotto. I'm not big on arborio, lol. Can't wait for your judgement.

I won't be eating this til tomorrow night, it's almost midnight here and I'm about to put toothpics in my eyelids to stay awake another 45 minutes til it's done.

Ahh, yes, the beer butt chicken with that SB Chipotle Sauce !!
I LOVE that combination as well, it's sooo good.
I saw that bird earlier, you nailed it !!!
Can't beat a beer butted bird imho.

As for Risotto, ... something I've Never had..
What's the texture like ??

Dang!! I take a couple days off from the outside world because I couldn't tear myself away from the weather channel and look at what I miss!!!! That truly is a beautiful creation and I can't wait to see hear how it tastes!! I have been searching for a new recipe to throw in the dutch and this just might be it depending on your opinion of it!!

Wooden Visions, boldly going... :salut:

WV, we don't have a vac sealer. I'd like to make this but y'think just freezing some in a regular way would work?

That meal looks irresistable! :chef:

Wv, the risotto is one of my wife's faves as well if we are out, I make it for her every now and again. I must admit I had some and I enjoyed it. Basically butter then arborio rice with shallots finely diced. Cook for 5 or 6 mins, then slowly add chicken stock with s and p. Then pumpkin thumb size and when that's cooked chicken.i sometimes add white wine as well but didn't have a bottle open.
Serve it moist.
