Oup, I kid you not, this sauce on steak is heaven. If I'm cooking for family or friends I always offer my garlic sauce or mushroom sauce I make as well. I like to cater to all tastes. Everyone always has one or the other. But I know what ya saying, plain steak and sides also very acceptable.

Lol @ Emm ^^^^^^

I KNEW you would react like that lol..

Buttttttttt.., in Russ's defense, I've actually had a sauce almost identical to what he's describing and I will adimently say, it's borderline rediculous on how good it is at complimenting a good steak..

I have no doubt that what you say is true but when I eat a steak, other than the S&P/ETC, I want to taste the Steak and not a sauce. Jist me raise'n I spect :dont: :D

I'd tear that up :):)

As for Walmart, had to run there this morning.
I decided that I might have to go back to my ( older ) days when I was called a houligan,ruffian,mischief/troublemaker hoodlum, goon and go back to driving a 78 c/10 with headers and straight pipes with cherry bombs ( the short ones ,:):):):)) and not give one ( fill in the blank ) and just look for the most inconsiderate person in the parking lot that decides to park thier beat up, beat on, 20 dents in each fender lowered Infinity G37X TWO inches from my driver's door !!!

Talk about inconsiderate !!!!
Back in the day, I would left them some ( Steel bumper ) beauty marks along the side of thier car. That's what we called the ( Jersey Thank You ) ....

But.. now I'm a little older, wiser, fatter, balder and have more than just me to support so I had to use my head and just settle for filling the door lock keyholes with Super glue....

Just kidding, just kidding, lol.

Nah, I just climbed thru the passenger side and left ..

Man, I hate that place !

Ok, sorry for the hijack. But you brought up some memories for me.

In my late teens / early 20's I had a 69 Chevy p/u with a bored out 350, 4 barrel Holly carburetor, glass packs and duals with echo chambers…I'd cruise through parking garages, toss it in neutral, rattle the pipes off and set off every car alarm on the floor. One night my Dad was driving it. He came home and tossed me the keys and said "if you're curious, your truck is faster than the new Camaro" :)

That's real nice to hear that, my father walked out when I was 3. I grew up without a dad. I said to myself I would never do that to my kids. My son and I are as close as I would say you and your dad are. It prolly made me the strong person I am today. We all get dealt different hands I guess.

Don't mind Parts, that's a Texan thing about the meat should be pristine in its own right sans sauce. We are kinda purists in that sense, though I go all in for the butter whisky flambé while still on the grill.

Now that steak oscar thing where they drown it in cream and crab meat, I won't have any truck w that.

Steak at our house is Montreal Steak seasoning with a last minute very light swipe of Woodys cooking sauce. If you haven't tried it I promise you it will take your steak to a whole new dimension. This even gets a co-sign from my son who a multi year World Champion in steak competitions. Here is a link to the stuff. I only know about the original, never tried the others:

I can see it either way. Especially if the steak itself is a little under par...sauteed onyawns, shrooms, deglazed with mmmmmarsala. Or bourbon.

I haven't done that, though, because I'm always hopeful regarding steak.

OUP, your steak still looks pretty good to me.

Our Wally World doesn't even have "fresh" meat, just some frozen items and mostly dry goods. Grocery-wise, all we usually buy there is coffee (in K-Cups).

Wife says the steak was slightly overdone, she's normally well done, I'm blue, but she's slowly coming round to a bit of pink in the middle now. Love a good steak now n then.
