OUP - smoke ring is cosmetic. You nailed those ribs!

Outlaw - one heck of a deck…beautiful. Although I'd support a 3 day suspension for posting a pic of yourself in the pool :) LOL / just kidding…float on my man!

I was thinking more in the line of a Certificate of Bravery :salut: If I did that, Y'alls first impression would be "Thar she Blows" (an old Moby Dick Joke, OK?) :whiteflag:

All kidding aside, Outlaw, that is a very nice outdoor set up  :salut:  :texas:

Ok, I won't post anymore pics. I just wanted to share with my forum kin when OUP questioned pool. Yes, we can certainly have a big get together here anytime you like, even though New Zealand does seem a little far away. :dont: :dont: We have hosted group of up to 40 here for swim and Que. Thats why we built it. :D :D :D

I would not be adverse to getting in your luggage for the trip home. Australia and New Zealand have always been on my bucket list to visit, but I'm afraid without "hitching" a ride we won't make it.

Yo Emm,

Those ribs look great ! Smithfield is what we get up here in the mountains, so i guess we have something in common with Texas...lol.
Also, i used to worry about no smoke ring either til the last Brisket i did. After tasting how moist and how much flavor it had, i realized that if i closed my eyes and didn't look at the ( non existing ) smoke ring, it didn't taste any different...
As said earlier, it's just cosmetics in the end ya know..

Outlaw - I can kid you because I'd give you a run for your money in a belly flop comp :) I doubt many of us look like Olympic athletes on a BBQ forum!

No harm, no foul. :D :D :D We love it, you must come for a visit. I could learn so much. I'm 60, so I am not that concerned anymore. I just like to enjoy the time I have left with friends and family. I have that belly to support my margarita on while floating. :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7:

That way we wouldn't all be bumping into each other trying to probe this, or test that. Just kick back and enjoy.

Imagine how much more fun we could've had of we'd accepted this at an earlier age…you sir, have it figured out!
