Stuff Happens:
The meat is supposed to keep the sauce from falling through the grate.
Larger portions will stop veggies from falling through the grate OR just do them K-Bob style.
Scraping char from your grill is part of the Hobby "if you're gonna play ya gotta pay".
A grilling plate, griddle pan, skillet or even foil serves well in grilling fish, especially if blackening.

I actually think gator has been very good about this sort of self promotion, I don't think I could show as much restraint. In fact I know I couldn't.
