First Time fer ever Thang !

Postby OldUsedParts » Mon May 22, 2017 2:30 pm

Was my first time to do stuffed shrimp.
Was my first time (and last) to use an aluminum cake pan.
Was my first time to bake "any" Seafood at 350 to 400 degrees for over 30 minutes.

The stuffing mix was ok BUT there was too much on each shrimp and I should have used lump crab meat because this was almost fine ground.

I thought that the round "throw away" aluminum cake pan was perfect for this cook but t'wernt so. After 15 minutes in the oven I could touch it with my bare fingers and even pick it up. Ran it back thru for 10 more minutes with NO CHANGE. Moved everything over to foil on a baking sheet - - and then back in the oven for 15 more minutes.

Finally got them to where I could call it Lunch.
If I ?ever? do this again I will change EVERYTHING that I did today. :whiteflag:

During the final bake I put a meat thermometer in the oven along with the stuffed shrimp and when I remove it, IT WAS MUY CALIENTE :angryfire: So the oven is working "whew".

OUP..... they sure look good from here :dont:

Don't feel bad my friend. I did a tritip last night and took a photo of it to enter it in the throwdown. Tho Picture looked really good the trip tip was tougher then meat from a retired Holstein milk Cow.
Ya couldn't cut it with a chainsaw. We ended up giving it to Buck

I think Buck enjoyed it

I'm thinking if I worked with Buck long enough he would figure how to use a fork and plate. ;) He's the fastest learning dog Ive ever had. Too be honest... I think he has taught me more things then I have taught him.

Lol, I took a punt when I said it was a shepherd, yeah, it's getting cold. Averaging around 10 or 12 ATM. Winter in 10 days, man I hate winter with a vengeance. I gave my last dog away as I didn't have The time it needed spent on her. She went to a good home.

I've been blessed with many and have never had one in my life that I didn't like or that didn't like me and the Family - - - - smartest one in my life time was a Golden Receiver/Pointer Cross that was like ol Buck - - - amazing how they seem to be able to read your mind and pleasing you becomes their priority.
