Uhmmm....the experiment was far less than successful, as the meat turned out (those of you with delicate sensibilities might want to turn away now)...well-done.
What a terrible thing to do to a strip steak.
Earlier we had gone to a la-di-da supermarket and picked up (overpriced) broccolini, which I prepped with onion, garlic and Marsala mushrooms. It was okay, I guess.
The twice-baked potatoes were good, though. We had prepped and frozen them ourselves last month, and today reheated them as a side. They were easy enough to do. At least I salvaged one dish.
Given that this was an experimental cooking effort, I will let it slide to the side of trial and error. Overall, the plate looks fantastic and I bet (despite having subdued the steak to oblivion), still tasted wonderful!! Excellent job and kudos to exploring uncharted waters, sir!!
