Nothing fancy, just a seasoned beef patty cooked in an iron skillet and sliced potatoes layered with onions, seasoned with Potato Topping, drizzled with butter and baked in the oven.

Re: Burger & Potatoes
those taters are what we've always called "soft fries" 'cept we do them in a skillet very low heat and lid - - probably my favorite way to eat spuds.

I keep meaning to try this. I wonder if it's like steak (a la previous threads) and you can do it from frozen.

Affirmative sailor.
Just use a good oil and season half way thru.
From Frozen I would use med heat at first, then up high to sear.
Use a splatter lid if u got one, grease will be a flyin lol.
Ur thoughts Chris ?

Never have done frozen either but I would be it should be just like you say WV. I keep saying I am gonna do frozen but I forget and take it out to thaw every time. I used to have a neighbor that cooked everything from frozen on the grill but can't say that any of it was all that good. Not at all saying that the technique won't work. I don't think my neighbor wanted to be a good cook because he didn't enjoy it and b!tched the whole time whenever he was cooking. Usually why we always gathered at my Casa instead.
