Big ol' pork chop

Postby Sailor Kenshin » Sun Mar 26, 2017 5:47 pm

So big we only needed one. It was like a Porterhouse steak. Marinated in our favorite balsamic dressing, grilled on the Mini-Q in the rain, served with green salad and, on a whim, confetti couscous.

Then for an encore I ruined a peach Betty dessert. I know what went wrong but a disaster's still a disaster.

Great plate there, my wife loves cous cous, I personally find it tasteless. How did you do yours and what did you do to give it flavour.?

Russ

It IS pretty flavorless, Russ, but that allows you to play it any way you want. I chopped celery and onyawn, shredded carrot, and skint and shredded termater. Steamed those in butter and the amount of water needed for the couscous. Then I dumped in the couscous and gave it lemon pepper, parsley, scallion, and cilantro. And it still needed salt, lol. Next time I might sautee the vejables instead.

Thanks, everyone. We love those Porkerhouse chops. A local store always has them at a decent price.

And for some reason, when Grillin in the Rain, thoughts of Gene Kelly kept coming to me.
