Congrats 88!
That's exactly (more or less) how I got started.
I picked up a used smoker (Brinkmann offset) from Craigslist with a cover for $100.
I cooked on that thing the very next day. Picked up my first brisket and all the things I thought I needed on the way home.
Took me about 3 cooks to know I was hooked.
About 10 to really hone in on what I was doing.
Ask any questions you got- this is a good group of folks here who enjoy sharing the experiences of the ups and downs. Oh and like Woodenvisions said- next time you don't post pics, you owe us some ribs.
Welcome
New guy from PA (and new to smoking)

Also- go check out the board about throw downs... we have one that ends on the 3rd.
Check it out- it's good fun.
Don't worry, there's no entry fee.

Sunday it's supposed to be low 60's so it's cook on!
I have a maverick 733 and some sucklebusters competition rub on the way! I just need some wood and charcoal!
I will be doing a chuck roast for a test run and I promise I will have pictures this time!!! Lol
