I have used this prototype, I'm pretty impressed so far with the operation. More testing is in order soon to develop some feedback.

That is way cool. I'd seriously consider buying one of those.

Re: My homemade digital temperature controller!
Hi All,
So, I pride myself on following through on a project. That said, I didn't realize how BIG the project really was. But - because everybody has been so encouraging about this concept, I've pushed it through to _almost_ being a real live product!
You can see an updated video about it here: http://www.smobot.com/
A handful of generous prototype testers from Texas were involved on this development project, and at least one of them I met here. Thanks again for the support!
To try to get over the finish line to a real product, I'm hosting a kickstarter campaign which starts onWednesday March 8th, at 12PM. I'm hoping you guys will check it out, and see what your encouragement and interest have produced.
Kind regards,
Eric

I remember seeing this long ago. Glad to see it is still active.
I second that Indiegogo or Kickstarter might help you get across the finish line at a lower per unit cost. Very Cool!!

Got a chance to plug and play the Smobot last night on a very Cold Dallas Evening.
What a neat and game changing product to allow for overnight cooks! We had a bit of an issue w registration due to a very high security router at the user end but all ended well and the Smobot performed flawlessly.
