Oven Roasted Onions

Postby woodenvisions » Sun Feb 19, 2017 10:57 pm

So I've been wanting to try roasting some onions in the peel. All I can say is I've been missing out !
Peeled the first outer layer off, drizzled some olive oil and went with sea salt for 50 minutes at 400. Added pepper in the end, came out great

Whenever I can find nice "genuine" Vadalias in season, I'll do that a couple of times a Season  :salut:

I never find time to roast onions when I do a roast. I know they are nice because I had them at a friends about 10 years ago.
Yours look spectacular.

Capt'n I certainly didn't know they were bred alike but I do love 1015 also - - - - lately the Own-Yawns in the Grocery Stores are exceptionally large unless you buy a bag and I prefer purchasing 3 or 4 at a time.

You guys got me curious about onions I buy. I get mine from an honesty box here up the road from a customer of mine. He sells potatoes and white and red onions. I will find out the type.

Those look great. We do them on the pit, butter, garlic and foil them, they come out great.
