Plain ol corn on cob...
How do you guys do your corn, if I'm cooking inside its corn and knob of butter and cling film around it, microwave 8 mins , serve.
BUT... If I'm cooking outside its corn in open aluminium foil, good bit salt and teaspoon butter, wrap in the foil and cook on BBQ about 10 to 12 mins moderate then high heat to get a cooked look. We love it this way.
Any variations on mine??

with husks in tact I put it in the microwave for three and half minutes then I flip it over and repeat the three and half minutes - - - I then remove the husks cut kernals from cob and apply lots of butter and coarse ground black pepper

I soak it in water for a bit with the husks on. Then throw it on the grill in tact. When it's done everybody seasons their own. Butter, S&P, Season Salt, Sucklebusters TX Gun Powder (my fav), chili powder…whatever you want!
Check this out Russ, the authentic Mexican joints (aka gas station taco stands) serve Elotes and it is insanely good!

We take them out of the husk. Fill a pot with cold water. Put the corn in and turn on the heat. Get it to a boil and let it roll for 2 minutes. Shut off the heat and let it cool with the water for about 10. Works well time wise. Start theeat when the corn goes in.

+1 on the soak in water (with salt) for an hour, drain, and then grill. Comes out sweeter for me than otherwise.

Re: Plain ol corn on cob...
I trim the ends a bit then put them in the microwave for a few minutes
Then on to the grill

My bride goes for butter and salt
I hit it with mayo, chili/lime seasoning, and grated parmesan

Went a little overboard with the cheese this time
