Kemo Sabe Tacos

Postby OldUsedParts » Thu Feb 09, 2017 12:33 pm

Had the urge to whip up some Native American Fry Bread but with yeast this time and, I have to admit, I like them better without the yeast. This is because it's almost impossible to get them to fry up flat in the middle and puffy on the edges just by kneading them. Oh well, live and learn and they were dang sure eatable.

I can just see my Grandma looking down and shaking her head - - - - wish I'd known her instead of only hearing the stories.

Nothing like Indian slap bread
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

OK, breakie is done and, let me assure Y'all that splitting that fry bread filet style was NOT the easiest thing I ever did but I managed on the second piece.

So in honor of my Native American Granny, let's call this:
"He who faces the Rising Sun - Tomahawk Toast Sammy"

Besides the toasted fry bread and obvious goodies there's a mixture of Suckle Busters Pepper Jelly and 'Wild' Main Blueberry Jam.
