Hoping for Chili/got Pot Roast

Postby bondobill » Sat Jan 14, 2017 10:56 pm

Monday I placed a order from SB's. hoping to make chili this weekend with Gators Chili seasoning I had on the order.

Weds. I ordered a 6gt dutch oven from Amazon

Dutch oven showed up yesterday :D looks like my order from Gator for the Chili fixuns got stuck in a snow drift somewhere between here and NM. :(
Oh well no big deal. Instead of breaking in the new pot with Chili I broke it in with a 4lb pot roast, Yukon Gold spuds, Walla Walla sweets, baby carrots and some Fungi :laughing7:

Thanks ya'll :D
Got to say it was dang tasty
Pot roast after browning sat in a bath of red wine and beef broth for about 2 hours at 350 then added the veggies and taters and let it roll about another hour.
Thickened up the broth with some seasoned Clucker breader I got on hand.
The pot roast was just about to the point of shredding it with a fork but not quit. Twas supper tender and no need for a knife. :D
I'm amazed at the recipes one can get off the internet ;)
