Man this stuff is mouth watering, for my 40th many years ago a Tongan friend of mine did a whole pig over embers in my back yard. It was the best ever, crackling to die for.

I don't think you are going to beat those prices and yes I'd go for the hood, it is a small investment when amortized over the life of the unit.

Has anyone done a set-up like in CaptnJack's bottom pic? I would really want to try something like that for a rack of ribs or a split fish, but maybe one-sided, and rotate the food.
