Slow cooker night

Postby woodenvisions » Mon Jan 02, 2017 10:53 pm

Saw some nice prime boneless pork loins on sale tonight and thought about pulling out the slow cooker for some tasty lunch tomorrow at work.
Not that I don't love me a good PB&J but I'll splurge a bit and have some Balsamic Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Loin instead.
I bought 2 so once the snow melts a little bit I'll try smoking the other on the Akorn if I can remember what it looks like...grrrr....
A little ground sage, s&p and fresh crushed garlic rubbed on at the beginning with a 1/2 cup clear frozen run birch beer. 5 a.m I'll make the glaze with brown sugar, corn starch, balsamic and soy sauce and add it in the last hour...
I'll get back with the final pics and thoughts by lunch time if all goes well.

First time trying this recipe so verdicts out till tmrrw.

Ohhhh! So you shred it! I thought it might be sliced. Looks gooooood. Next time I see a pork loin I'll have to try it.

Around here, we call our slow cookers 'the Long Island Crutch.' ;)

Umm..
The ( plan ) was to slice it, but it was so moist and tender ( I think from the Frozen Run Birch Beer ) it had other plans and wanted to shred like pulled pork.
