I have two pressure vessels measuring 20 x 60. I am considering making two reverse flow smokers. My question is: will the the 20 inch diameter be a good size, or should I try to find a larger diameter? Will 20 inches restrict me from doing anything I wish I had a larger smoker for?

Re: Best size reverse flow?
In my opinion if I had my choice 24" x 48" would be the smallest offset I would want. 20" is fine if that is all you have to work with but I would look into putting cabinet doors and build out about 4" to 6" to gain some cooking area.

Agree. A large aluminum pan is right at 21" long. Slabs of spares are also sometimes that long. For me I would want to have the option to lay ribs, briskets, aluminum pans, etc cross ways (in terms of the flow of the pit) for those times when I am cooking a lot of meat.
