Sorry for the blurry pics i didn't realise how bad they were when I took them and for the life of me can't figure out why they keep loading sideways. But smoker is finally starting to look like something.still got high hopes to finish this weekend.

Visual progress is almost all gone it's a lot of welding left and teadious things that need buttoning up. Unless i hit a major wall somewhere I will finish this bad boy up tomorrow and have it in the paint booth Friday and all painted up ready to bring home Saturday. But I got my latches put on and lid mostly built for the charcoal chute got my side table frame wor added and the top on it. 1 10lb spook of wire and 2 gas bottles later I'm almost done.

Alright today was the day of seasoning my smoker. So far pretty pleased. I have learned my 3 3/4 ball valves are not enough. I guess I'll buy a 2in ball valve and add it below my 3 and I'll have plenty. It was still pretty easy to maintain 275 and this thing is efficient. All I had to do is open the ash box door for about 2 min and it would jump from 250 to 275 and maintained 275 for hours. I fired it up at 12 pm and hit 275 around 1 with the ash box door open. the charcoal chute holds about 12-13 lbs of charcoal. It has been going for 5 hours now and it's burned about 2-3lbs of charcoal and 3 logs. Over all this thing doesn't take much fuel. Pretty happy minus the ball valve issues.

Also I opened the ash box door and ran this puppy as wide open as I could and it reaches 500 fairly quick I filled the water pan with beef fat trimmings and rendered that all down and now I have it backed off to 275 and just going to let it run most the night. First cook should be Tuesday I have brisket and pork shoulder planned.
