Hi Dick
Nice to see someone else here from the evergreen state
Where's about you located ?
I be on the "left" side of the Cascades about as far North and West as you can go . Any farther North or West and I'd be a Canuck
Any who's...great bunch of folks here.

Looks like you're settling in just fine DickC - - - I spent 5 wonderful years at 10,000' in Summit County Colorado - - - but at 75, I'm glad I'm not there now You also mentioned handmade knives do you have a website and do you make them for the public? my youngest son and I messed with knife making on a very small scale and wished we'd had more time to spend learning the trade - - - about the time we quit, I was ready to try and do some of that ornate case-hardening but those days are gone I'm afraid.

I grew up on the Frying Pan River at Thomasville. I did a lot of jeeping on the Blue, hiking and fishing too.
I don't have a web site, got to old to do it; I've made nearly 2000 knives since 1972, still do it, just came in from grinding all afternoon! I try not to take orders anymore, never know if I'll get to make them. Good luck on your knifemaking.
