Hey there fellow BBQ enthusiasts. I live in Atascocita, TX northeast suburb of Houston and I am fairly new to smoking BBQ and am looking for all the help I can get. I use a Old Country Pecos Smoker from Academy and so far I have had pretty good success with it. I started with the easier stuff like smoking whole chickens and pork spareribs. I smoked my first brisket on memorial day weekend and I have to say it was pretty good. Thats to say i wouldn't be ashamed to serve it to others! I know that there is a lot to learn from more experienced cookers on here and i look forward to interacting and learning from you all.
Thanks!
PS my top 5 BBQ spots are:

1.Franklin BBQ- Austin Texas
2. City Market BBQ- Luling Texas
3. Killens BBQ- Pearland Texas
4. Louie Mueller BBQ- Taylor Texas
5. Southside Market- Elgin Texas

Welcome. I also have a old country pecos smoker and love it. I smoked my first brisket on that smoker today and it looks great. Have a Happy 4th.
